Delete your DIP account

For the DIP mobile app (iOS and Android) and the web app at system.dipengine.com, by DIP – Digital Industrial Platform. Last updated: 22 October 2026.

About this page

This page explains how to delete an account in DIP, the app of DIP – Digital Industrial Platform on the App Store and Google Play (app ID com.dip.platform). The same DIP account is used in the mobile app and in the web app at system.dipengine.com, so deleting it removes your access to both.

Delete your account in the app

In the mobile app

  1. Open the DIP app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Go to the Account tab → Delete account.
  3. Read what will be deleted, then confirm.

In the web app

  1. Sign in at system.dipengine.com.
  2. Go to Settings → Profile → Delete account.
  3. Read what will be deleted, then confirm.

When the deletion is complete you are signed out on all your devices.

Ask us by e-mail (without the app)

If you cannot use the app, you can ask us to delete your account by e-mail:

  • To: info@dipengine.com
  • From: the e-mail address of your DIP account
  • Subject: Account deletion request
  • Optional: the name of your business, to help us find your account.

We will check that the request comes from the account holder and may ask you to confirm it. We complete the deletion within 30 days of your request and confirm it by e-mail.

If you own a business

  • If you are the only Owner of a business that has other members, transfer ownership to another member first. The app will ask you to do this before it lets you delete your account.
  • If you are the business's only member, the business is closed when your account is deleted, and its profile and listings are removed from the marketplace.

What we delete

  • your sign-in account, e-mail address and password;
  • your profile: name, phone, job role and language;
  • your memberships of businesses and invitations addressed to you;
  • your notification preferences and the push tokens of your devices;
  • your sessions on all devices.

What we keep, and for how long

  • Records other businesses rely on — orders, quotations, RFQs, RFQ messages and the documents attached to them — stay in those businesses' records for as long as those businesses use DIP. Your name is removed from them or replaced (de-identified) where possible.
  • Invoices, payments and other billing records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require.
  • Audit records are kept or de-identified to protect the integrity and security of business records.
  • Notifications and delivery records expire on their own: in-app notifications after 180 days and e-mail and push delivery records after 90 days.
  • Backups may still contain deleted data until they roll off at the end of the backup window. Backup data is not used in the meantime.
